1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 No national authority prescriptions will apply.
1.3 The Class rules for each class, this Notice of Race which may be changed by further notices, the Sailing Instructions and their appendices will apply.
1.4 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.
2 ADVERTISING
Advertising will be restricted to Category C.
All boats shall, in accordance with ISAF Regulation 20. Advertising code, 20.3(d)(i), display event sponsor advertising, if the organizer so requires.
3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the 606 class, which conform with the obligations of the Class Rule.
3.2 Eligible boats may enter by completing the entry form on the regatta web site at address http://www.segel.aland.fi/form.con?iForm=17 The entry is not valid until the entry fee has been submitted. The entry fee shall be paid directly to bank account of the organizing club.
ENTRY CLOSES ON Friday 3:rd of July.
3.3 Late entries will be accepted at a 33 % surcharge.
4 FEES
Required fees are as follows:
Class Fee 606 50 €.

This charge includes launching at the beginning and recovery at the end of the Regatta and trailer storage during the Regatta as well as berthing from Friday, 10 until Sunday, 12.
5 SCHEDULE
5.1 Registration will take place at the Race Office at Åländska Segelsällskapet as follows:
Friday 10 of July From 17:00 to 22:00
Saturday 12 of July From 8:30 to 9:30
5.2 Measurement and inspection:
Friday 10 of July From 17:00 to 22:00
Saturday 11 of July From 8:30 to 9:30
5.3 Dates of racing:
Saturday 11 of July
Sunday 12 of July
5.4 Number of races:
A total of 7 races are scheduled – 4 races on Saturday and 3 races on Sunday.
5.5 The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race each day is 11:00.
6 MEASUREMENTS
Each boat shall produce a valid Class certificate
7 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available after 17:00 on Friday 10 of July at the Regatta office. (ÅSS Race Office)
8 VENUE
8.1 The regatta harbour is located in the Western harbour of Mariehamn.
8.2 The racing area is Lagneskärsfjärden on the west side of Möckelö. Approximately 3 nm from ÅSS.
9 THE COURSE
The course to be sailed will be as follows: A Windward - Leeward configuration, with fleet racing. Spreader marks and leeward gates will be used.
10 PENALTY SYSTEM
10.1 Rules 44.1 and 44.2 will apply, but are changed so that only one turn, including one tack and one gybe, is required.
11 SCORING
11.1 Three races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
11.2 (a) When fewer than 4 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
(b) When 4 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
12 BERTHING
Boats shall be kept in their assigned places in the harbour. All boats shall be afloat before 9:30 on the 11 of July.
13 HAUL-OUT RESTRICTIONS
Keel boats shall not be hauled out during the regatta except with and according to the terms of prior written permission of the race committee.
14 DIVING EQUIPMENT AND PLASTIC POOLS
Underwater breathing apparatus and plastic pools or their equivalent shall not be used around keel boats between the preparatory signal of the first race and the end of the regatta.
15 RADIO COMMUNICATION
A boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
16 PRIZES.
In the 606 class the Rolling Home trophy will be awarded to the boat with the overall lowest score for one year. Prizes will be awarded to the three top positions.
17 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
18 INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid and adequate insurance including third-party, and it is the owner's or owner’s representative’s sole and inescapable responsibility to ensure that the insurance is in place and is adequate. No responsibility will be accepted by The Åländska Segelsällskapet r.f or any other party involved in the organisation of the Regatta.
